Taleah & James | Rancho Cucamonga

I was more than happy when Taleah had contacted me about shooting her engagement session. She is the sister-in-law of my friend Martha, whose family I took Christmas pictures of this year.

Engaged to be married in the middle of June, Taleah & James picked a great location with tons of color for their engagement photos. They are such a fun and loving couple, and I loved how Taleah let her "pet name" for James slip. Although, I'm not so sure Bunny loved it as much as I did :) 

A new haircut

The other day I got a phone call from my mom and sister saying my adorable niece cut her hair. And by cut her hair..... she really meant 'chopped it all off'. A lot of people say that she could be my daughter, soley based on the fact that we have matching hair color. Well, now I tease by saying she looks like Chucky! I mean this in the sweetest, funniest way ever. But it is so true.

What better way to document this aweful haircut on a beautiful little girl, than to take her out for some pictures.

Children's Session | Claremont

I was referred by Palos Studio to a family for a grandchildren's session as a surprise for the grandparents. I was excited for this, as I knew it was going to be a great challenge to photograph 6 kids, ages 3 months to 13 years old. And boy was I right. It was great running and playing with the young ones, trying to make them laugh & smile, and just capture their carefree and enegertic spirits.

We met up at the Claremont Colleges, and it was a pleasant surprise when I realized I already knew one of the moms! She and I used to work together about 10 years ago. What an incredibly small world. It was so awesome to see her with her husband and 2 children, surrounded by her sister, brother, and brother-in-law and their families.

Happy Valentine's Day from Hailey

I have known Kim since High School. We even worked our Summer job as lifeguards together at Raging Waters *Have a Raging Day* hahaha. It has been so wonderful that we have been able to remain in touch over the years. She is one of those types of friends you can go without talking to for 6 months, and pick right back up from where you left off. I wish it was only 6 months since I have seen hear beautiful face, but it has actually been nearly 2 whole years!!

I last saw her at her baby shower, which means I haven't met her absolutely gorgeous daughter Hailey until today! What a happy and innocent sweetheart she is. I couldn't get enough.

 Kim wanted to surprise her husband with some pictures for Valentine's Day, and of course I had to take her up on that offer! Hailey got all dolled up in her fancy jewelry, pink tutu, leg warmers, and cowboy boots.

My best friend Jennie found her passion and love of sewing, and lucky for us, she has opened her very own Etsy shop called YellowPlumBlossoms! She makes great things like Crayon Roll-Ups, Custom Blankets, Burp Cloths and Bags.
