Johnson Family :: Scripps College, Claremont

I first met Mike back at Upland High School. We were both in the band ( haha sorry to spill the beans Mike ). Then, years later I was contacted by Jessica his gorgeous fiancee at the time, as she was planning their wedding at Padua Hills Theater. We would email back and forth, chatting and sharing ideas. Erin & Louis with Palos Studio were their photographers for their wedding, and I was lucky enough to assist on their beautiful day!
Since then, Jessica has also started up with her own photography career! Have a look at Jessica Johnson Photography! It was totally nerve wracking when she asked me to take their holiday pictures! After all, she is used to the gorgeous photos from Palos Studio, and also knows a thing or two about photography herself. So, the heat was on!
I love that they brought their adorable puppy Duke along! He is the tiniest and sweetest dog ever! Mike did a great job holding him in a manly fashion. Thank you again Mike & Jessica for a great day, and for helping me calm my nerves. Enjoy the pictures of this gorgeous couple!

Melanie, Amy & their families :: San Juan Capistrano

I have to say how much I just LOVE San Juan Capistrano. It's like a hidden gem full of beautiful spots for pictures, and it was a gorgeous day to head down with my girlfriends Melanie, Amy, and their families.  I have known them for over 10 years, and I love the fact that no matter how much time has passed since we've seen each other, it's always the greatest time being with them.
Melanie and Amy are sisters, and have the greatest sister/friend relationship. Their children get along like best friends, and I loved watching Melanie's older sons guide and comfort the little ones throughout the session.
Love you all

Hall Family :: Scripps College, Claremont

Martha and Justin also have a sweet fairytale story. They met in High School back at Upland, and they were also two people I definitely looked up to. Martha was the popular and talented bagpiper, and Justin was the tall popular sophisticated drummer... and I thought they were both so darn cool, so I was more than surprised when years later, they both remembered who I was! I didn't even really think they noticed me years back in the first place! haha.

Anyhoo... When I first started learning photography, the Hall family volunteered their pretty faces so I could get some practice. Wow! Was I nervous. And what I've realized is that the nerves don't ever really go away, you just learn to hide them better!
So, here is to a much better session. I hope you enjoy the photos!
